Summer Days

I’ve been quite busy this summer.

I’m going to school recently:) It’s a weekly class, outside. As you’ve noticed, I even got a summer cut for it. About this cut, I quite doubt if it really works/makes me any cooler. Probably not. But I guess it definitely makes people who see me feel cooler… since after I got this cut, no one ever come up and ask if I am feeling hot or if I need a summer cut again:) Nice.

About school, we also have homework! They say you cannot just come to class once a week and hope to remember everything… Look, I study very hard at home!

Wandering Eskies

It’s getting hot these days and it feels so nice to walk in the night~~

And we were not surprised to meet several other doggies walking with their humans on our way, just like us:)

Investigation

Earlier our friends Comet and BLU asked if the birds (we think there are a couple) used any of our fur for their nest. We were not sure… so we did a little investigation (and also wanted to know how the incubating goes…^_^):

Other Domestic Animals

We got to visit some other amazing domestic animals this weekend –

1. Horses

They’re really tall!

Actually this very first horse we met is a show horse, Sam the Thoroughbred.

Mom was petting him and so didn’t take a pic. He was very friendly,

but still everyone got very cautious and called me out when I got into the barn to sniff…

It’s as if this horse was visiting us…

well, sometimes it’s hard to tell…

Oh, look at this big, muscular head!

Snowy was amazed.

2. Cattle

So, this is a Texas Longhorn.

They showed no interest in us.

This is a different breed of cattle.

Can you see it?

We like these better.

3. Goat

Look at the young goat behind me!

So cute!

4. The most curious of all!

Can you tell what they are?

They’re lively, fearless and extremely curious about new stuff.

If they’re not dumb, they must be genius.

5. Chicken

We also saw a lot of chickens. Some are really pretty. All smell very good. I tried very hard to poke my nose near them, and then I saw this sign: “Farm Animals Can Bite!”

You mean, chickens? I wanted to laugh at it all day long.

At the end of the visit, we joined a pet (dog) parade. A photographer was there taking pics for every pet, and we hope we will get ours soon — and, please, no overexposure!

How Angel the Eskie Became Angel the White Furry Turtle

This is Angel the White Furry Turtle.

To become a turtle like Angel in the above pic,

first, start from a lake.

The best would be the sea, but a lake also worked in our case.

Oh, remember to take a before picture.

It helps a lot if there’re a lot of ducks to watch/bark at in this process.

The more water birds, the better.

Dehydrating in the process is dangerous.

Don’t forget to drink a lot of water!

Never miss any chance.

A lot of water will be needed.

But, only clean water, please!

as you want to become a cute white furry turtle lying on your human’s comfy carpet,

not a turtle ninja.

If you meet a painter by the lake, please lie down so that you won’t block her view.

Then, after several bridges…

…You will finally become just like Angel here!

Today is a long day after the time change!

Good Morning Nature

This time we went to another park which has only a few ponds, but much much fewer people. This is what we call “Nature”.

Oh how we love the morning air!

It just feels so good!

Does it look like Fall season here?

Again we found pecan branches there… we checked everything and marked them, in turns.

Oh the park also has several creeks.

This one is along the trail. We didn’t get into it.

Actually we don’t like water much. Last time we swam only because mom was in the water and we were worrying about her.

My sister Angel, who believes she is the prettiest and sweetest of all.

But actually right after this she barked at some passers-by on the trail.

If you could look at Mom’s face then, she was SO embarrassed because of this!

And this is only one of my many tricks. Look at my ears!

I think, only this one, after some PS work, is OK.

We were very happy at the park though it was a short walk. Only a little bit more than an hour. But this is a new place so even a short walk is still of a lot of fun. Plus last week we got the result for Angel, so everyone was finally relieved and enjoyed the walk a lot!
